HRIS BUSINESS ANALYST
Are you looking for an opportunity to show your Human Resource Systems experience in a fortune 500 company? You should consider Assurant!Assurant is looking for an HRIS Business Analyst to act as the customer/IT liaison during analysis, requirements definition, and design activities. The BA / BSA will handle customer calls involving HR related systems, while maintaining an understanding of business processes. These calls will be complex involving application set up, administration, and focus on Lawson Software HR Suite, with an emphasis on Payroll and/or Benefits. The HRIS Business Analyst will work with his/her team, vendors, and customers at varying levels to identify defects, develop application workarounds, and resolve customer issues. There are 2 positions available. One requires Lawson system experience and the other requires general Human Resource Systems experience (such as Peoplesoft, Ceridian, Performance Management, Benifits, Payroll and similar systems.)Responsibilities Include: Production Support (Handle incoming customer telephone calls and electronically reported issues.) Collaborate with business partners to define and document business & functional requirements. Work with technical staff to gather requirements and develop solution alternatives. Identify testing scope and scenarios, preparing test plans and scripts. Coordinate testing activities for maintenance and project assignments. Participate in project management process. Maintain system support tables and batch jobs. Develop and deliver training to peers and customers. Document processes and user documentation.Qualifications: Requires 3 – 5 years of progressive Business Analyst experience. Requires 3 – 5 years of Payroll and/or Benefits analyst experience. Lawson HR Suite/BSI Tax Factory/Tax Locator experience preferred Ability to estimate, plan, schedule, organize, coordinate, and execute activities. Excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to analyze business problems and propose effective solutions Ability to coordinate system testing cycle, issues tracking and resolution. Ability to effectively manage multiple assignments and priorities. Previous customer support experience. Basic understanding of Database Objects and Structures. Bachelor’s Degree in technical or business discipline, or equivalent work experience.
