Health & Benefits Zone Sales Leader
The Zone Health & Benefits Sales Leader in the Northeast will be responsible for the development (with Zone H&B Segment Leaders, Zone H&B Business Leader) and execution of a top-line growth strategy that results in the achievement of the zone’s annual new business revenue goal (new client and expanded) in all segments. Oversees the development and ongoing cultivation of a proactive growth culture in the zone. Essential Fuinctions:Is responsible for the following:Achievement of the Zone’s H&B new and expanded revenue goal. Segment Growth strategies (with Zone H&B Segment Leader) Industry growth strategies.(where applicable) Development and execution of the Zone’s annual top-line growth strategy. Develops this strategy taking into consideration defined H&B zone and H&B national priorities. Planning and execution of a consistent schedule of face-to-face meetings and conference calls with the Zone’s H&B Market Sales Leaders and lead H&B consultants. Working with other leaders in the Zone, as applicable, is responsible for the effective recruitment, training and development, direction and motivation, and evaluation of H&B Sales Executives, H&B Sales Professionals and other zonal H&B business development support team members. Actively participates in the efforts to initiate significant new and expanded prospect opportunities in the Zone with a personal focus on local H&B Market sales. Oversees the development and distribution of Zone sales reports and the appropriate utilization of sales support systems and tools. Works with the Sales Executives [John, I don’t know who this refers to – who are the “Sales Executives? Sales Professionals within the Zones?] to facilitate the execution of H&B Zone and H&B National Sales Practice initiatives in the Zone, including the ongoing provision of sales results and forecasts to the Zone H&B Business Leader and National H&B Sales Practice. Develops and executes initiatives intended to capture synergies in marketing and sales activities across offices in the Zone (including, but not limited to, SP recruitment, public relations, sales training and development, sales recognition, and client and competitor research). Maintains an active schedule of visits to Zone offices for purposes of advising H&B leadership in the effective execution of top-line strategies, motivation of sales team colleagues, sales calls, and other related activities. Maintains active involvement in the Zone's H&B annual budgeting process. Collaborates with the H&B Zone Business Leader to ensure the consistent execution of the sales compensation plan across the zone. Has a minimum of four years of experience in a sales management position. Holds a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. Is appropriately license. Possesses proven strategic planning skills, business acumen, and sales expertise. Demonstrates excellent communication skills. Possesses strong leadership skills while consistently driving for results. Demonstrates coaching, motivational and management skills. Is influential and persuasive with the ability to partner across offices and practices, and work well with other practice leaders. Has a strong understanding of Marsh and MMC resources; collaborates effectively across practices, geographies and MMC Companies.
