SUMMARY: This position is primarily responsible for executing the day to day functions of the Human Resources Department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Recruiting new and replacement sales, service and administrative staff to support client service including, interviewing, reference checks and background checks;
2. Posting open positions internally and externally via various web sites;
3. Coordinating the annual performance review process;
4. Consulting on employee discipline and assisting Chief Operating Officer, and the applicable manager with performance improvement planning;
5. Coordinating employee development plans for applicable employees throughout the office;
6. Continuing education course coordination for on-site, off-site and online courses;
7. New hire orientation including, introductions around the office, review of company policies and procedures;
8. Payroll liaison including reporting of pay changes, time off, new hires and terminations;
9. Benefits department liaison, including facilitating annual open enrollment, presenting benefit information to newly eligible employees, processing local employee changes, and reviewing, calculating and paying monthly bills;
10. Maintain current and terminated employee personnel files, current contact information and personal information in TAM;
11. Manage employee time off spreadsheet utilizing employee forms and EZ labor ensuring records are accurate;
12. Develop and maintain relationships with local recruiters, colleges, universities and other staffing resources;
13. Participate in weekly regional HR conference calls;
14. Coordinate with VP of Operations for communications to staff;
15. Identify, research and coordinate training opportunities for the office;
16. Assist with the execution of acquisitions and the assimilation of staff and property associated with the acquisitions; and
17. Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
1. 2-3 years of experience working in a human resource department required;
2. Strong recruiting and interviewing skills;
3. Enjoy working independently with minimal supervision;
4. Familiarity with the various benefit plans;
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
6. Commitment to confidentiality and a high degree of integrity and professionalism;
7. Customer service focus;
8. Strong computer skills, including Word, Outlook and Excel; and
9. Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
