Human Resources Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provides a broad range of strategic and tactical HR support and consulting services

• Works under broad practices, procedures or defined functional policies.

• Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

• Investigates and formally responds to allegations of discrimination, sexual harassment, employee problem resolution complaints and ethics complaints

• Assumes a project management role for special projects and initiatives. Includes the coordination and delivery of HR services when implementing workforce transitions

• Responsible for keeping HR executives and management informed of pertinent trends and best practices

• Provides coaching, counsel and direction to executives, managers and employees on complex performance management, employee relations, compensation, legal compliance, employee/team development and change management issues. Uses other resources as appropriate.

• Provides insight into people and organization issues. Analyzes information and reports to identify trends. Looks for opportunities to improve programs and provide executives and managers with input that will yield better performance results.

• Assess effectiveness of HR practices and actions. Provides support in the development and implementation of new and/or revised HR practices and policies.

• Ability to facilitate meetings and present information to large groups of people.

 

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 8+ years of Employee Relations experience and HR generalist experience.

• 2+ years of project management experience.

• Experience working in a Human Resources function with a shared service

delivery and strategic business partner model strongly preferred

• Works independently with little supervision

• BA/BS degree in Human Resources or related field preferred

• Certification in specific discipline preferred
