IDI Sales Representative

MetLife, a leading provider of insurance and other financial services to individual and institutional customers, is seeking an IDI Sales Representative in Nashville, TN! Major Duties and Functions Include: Provides the DI product through insurance brokers and intermediaries. Develops and maintains relationships with these producers, and helps them deliver MetLife’s DI products and services that meet the needs of their clients. This involves meeting directly with brokers and intermediaries to promote our products and services and create interest in having them propose offers of coverage(s) to their clients. Works under general supervision of Manager or Senior Staff, sells and services products to individuals and businesses. Makes sales calls, provides quotes, and tracks activity in Sales Radar. Complete knowledge of the Disability Income Products. Maintains and grows the book of business through aggressive product sales, increased offerings, GSI renewals, and re-enrollments. Promotes and sells Disability Income Products. Partners with sales peers across all markets to position cross-channel product offerings. Coordinates marketing, sales and support services and anticipates and resolves problems. Develops and maintains strong working relationships with sales counterparts and also other partners to ensure high quality customer experiences. Understands MetLife’s Disability Income Products and can position with broker and intermediaries. Assists in resolution of escalated service issues. May generate reports to track/report activities, progress, and strategies. What You Need to Succeed: Must have either sales experience or strong product knowledge of individual disability income insurance. Must have strong client and problem resolution experience. Proven ability to up sell and cross-sell is required. Must be able to develop and main positive relationships. Work shouldn’t be something you do just to make ends meet.
