Location: Chicago, IL Employment Type: Full Time, Temporary/Contract/Project IT Audit  To help us continue driving our business forward, we’re in search of an experienced IT Audit Consultant to work for our client downtown Chicago, IL on an 8 week contract. Start Date: Immediate Engagement: 8 weeks Job Summary Individual contributor ensuring the release of high quality IT internal controls, process documentation, and knowledge of audit processes. Provides the consultative assistance to management and technology process owners with respect to the development and implementation of quality IT processes and controls, and provides guidance to others informally.Essential Duties & Responsibilities Performs a combination of duties in accordance with departmental guidelines: 1. Consult with IT management, staff and internal clients regarding, but not limited to, IT SOX controls, utilizing advanced problem-solving assistance tools.2. Provides the most technical consultative assistance to management and client areas to ensure the development and implementation of quality IT internal processes and controls.3. Analyzes, develops and implements new or modified processes. 4. Develops metrics for assessing the quality of delivered process and internal controls or systems and analyzes trends, researches anomalies and summarizes findings for business process owners.5. Analyzes metrics and data from applicable systems to identify the most complex process and audit issues. 6. Recommends process improvements and works with process owners to determine and manage implementation strategy and roll-out when process improvements are required.7. Stays up to date on trends and developments within functional area of expertise and the insurance industry. Reporting Relationship Manager or above Education & Experience 1. Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience. 2. Minimum 7 years experience in systems analysis, project management, IT internal controls, process documentation, and audit processes.3.
