IT Business Analyst

Be part of an IT team voted as 'Top 100' by Computerworld.  This full-time (permanent) Business Analyst position requires a Business Analyst with strong experience dealing with IT efforts with the development/applications area. JOB DESCRIPTION: Functions as liaison between business constituents and IT. Leads business and IT efforts to gather, analyze and document business requirements for system enhancements, projects, and/or new or changed products. Applies business analysis methodology throughout the project life cycle. Assists and supports the design, development, testing and implementation of business applications. Participates in high-level solution designs. Creates and improves business analysis processes and proceduresJOB SKILLS: -Must be detail-oriented and thorough with the ability to meet aggressive deadlines. -Must be flexible and effective at multi-tasking. -Establishes a positive relationship with IT staff and business partners. -Must possess outstanding verbal and written communication skills. -Must be pro-active with issue identification and resolution. -Must be comfortable with the entire systems development life cycle. -Excellent analytical ability, judgment, consultative and communication skills. -Must have the ability to work effectively with business partners, IT management, and staff. -Must possess extensive insurance knowledge with specialty insurance as a plus.
