To that end, Investment Technology seeks to add energetic, experienced and self-motivated individuals who enjoy the challenge of spear-heading change. This Informatica ETL Engineer is responsible for the development and support of ETL mappings utilizing Informatica Power Center 7.2.3 as the ETL development environment built upon Oracle 10g RDBMS.  This work supports the required data movement and integration from multiple systems within Allstate Investment’s Technology area.  The individual will be responsible for: Developing new and maintaining existing Informatica mappings and workflows based on specifications. Participating in the design of new or changing mappings and workflows and produce requisite specifications. Participating in functional test planning and testing for a designated project or application.  Developing, implementing and maintaining unit tests for applications. Participating in problem solving and troubleshooting for the applications implemented with Informatica. Responding quickly and effectively to production issues and taking responsibility for seeing those issues thru resolution, including rotating after-hours support. Documenting all new and modified mappings according to standards as part of the Data Warehouse documentation. The required skills include: Understands the methodologies and technologies that depict the flow of data within and between technology systems and business functions/operations - Intermediate Knowledge of information flow, content issues, and transformation of business requirements into Informatica Mappings - Intermediate Able to synthesize complex information to speed development and support efforts - Intermediate Confident and resourceful in filling information gaps; self-starter - Intermediate Solid oral and written communication skills - IntermediateExperience Required: 3-4 years of overall IT experience 2+ years experience with SDLC methodologies and practical experience in their use  Computer Proficiency: 2+ years experience in development using Informatica or similar products. 2+ years development experience in Oracle version 8 or above.Education: College Degree  - Required Major preference: MIS, Finance, MBA
