THE OPPORTUNITY

We are currently seeking a Team Coordinator to join our Insurance Services – Benefits division.  This position provides support to the Account Representative, Benefits Analyst and the entire team as needed.

 

Responsibilities:

 Prepare and mail client renewal letters; set up and monitor tracking for renewal process.Assist Benefits Analyst with the marketing submission (RFP) process.  Including:

§ Securing necessary information to effectively market a prospective client or renew existing client (census, prior plan data, claim history)

§ Prepare new and renewal submissions for marketing

§ Quote follow ups for prospective clients for Life, Disability, Dental and fully-insured Medical

§ Maintain accessible, detailed marketing files on clients’ and prospects’ work-in-process, and required follow-up

§ Obtain additional data as needed

§ Log in quotes, contact carriers for necessary quote revisions

§ Track quoted rates via Excel spreadsheet

§ Negotiate renewal rates with carriersCreate detailed benefit analysis comparison (via computerized spreadsheet) of renewal, cost and options for proposals to the employer in order to choose the best plan alternative for presentation.Prepare proposals for review by Benefits Analyst.  Amend proposal/plan design as required.Assist with the enrollment process by coordinating the various implementation items.  Specifically, this process includes, but is not limited to:

§ Preparing or obtaining employee enrollment materials

§ Follow up on receipt of enrollment materials

§ Review enrollment materials

§ Submit master application, deposit and enrollment

§ Follow up on ID cards and plan booklets

· Clean and merge marketing files.

· Assist client/employee in resolving billing, claim and administrative issues.

· Coordinate client mailings and updates. 

· Coordinate with Strategic Sales Support for specialized RFP’s, presentations.

· Maintain and process information through the utilization of Sagitta, ACT, Excel and client lists.  This includes:  Maintain client and prospect employee benefit packages (life, disability, dental, fully insured medical); updating ACT database of clients, prospects and vendor data.

· Coordinate licensing for the team.

· Establish and maintain brokerage files in accordance with Mesirow Insurance Services' file procedure.

· Update and maintain weekly priority list for the team.

· Responsible for photocopying, filing and mailing for the team.

· Open, date stamp and distribute all incoming mail to the team.  Date stamp office copy of all policies.

· Utilize database and tracking systems as directed.

· Work with and help coordinate technical support help if applicable.

· Work on special projects as assigned by management.

· Obtain/maintain insurance license by pursuing industry-related continuing education and training.

· Pursue a program of personal, professional and career development.

· Adhere to all published Mesirow Financial rules, regulations and procedures.

 

Requirements:

 Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or universityExperience with Microsoft Office; strong Excel skills neededSuperior written and verbal communication skillsStrong attention to detailAbility to learn quickly and take direction from multiple individualsInternet experience necessary
