POSITION SUMMARY
Develops and maintains profitable customer relationships by assessing and determining customer needs and provides the appropriate product and or service to meet these needs. Specific service responsibilities are assigned with emphasis on retention.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides, in person or by telephone, information concerning insurance agency products and services. Actively engages with the customers to identify current and future insurance needs. This information includes product availability, billing options, taking claims first notice of loss, and other new and renewal policy issues.
Retains and expands policies per households through delivery of high quality customer service. Suggests other Rainier Pacific core products to customers
Performs quality assurance calls to customers in an effort to establish long term relationship and loyalty.
Achieves individual goals and assists the agency to achieve its overall goals. Assists customers with changes and service related requests.
Accurately completes and processes account paperwork, prepares relevant documents and enters information into computer system. Issues paperwork in a timely and professional manner.
Stays abreast of regulatory, industry, and marketplace needs. Recommends products and product enhancements to meet client needs.
Acts as a liaison between customers and insurance companies and promotes/maintains good relations with companies.
Assists team members to achieve their goals.
Consistently demonstrates corporate values; encourages and coaches others to consistently demonstrate corporate values.
Projects positive attitude by working effectively in spirit of cooperation with customers to achieve common goals/objectives.
Meets continuing education requirements for license renewal.
Contributes toward effective team problem solving with staff, peers, and management.
Supports and encourages the future-focused, results-driven, values-based, sales and service culture throughout the organization.
Develops and maintains ethical and professional relationships with key vendors and recruiting sources in an effort to obtain added value to Rainier Pacific.
Contributes to a favorable public image of Rainier Pacific by establishing and maintaining relationships and participation in the community (civic, industry, and professional).
Maintains confidentiality of information received whether directly or indirectly.
Participates in weekly meetings and other activities as deemed appropriate and necessary.

Language Skills
Ability to read and write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively to members/customers or employees of Rainier Pacific. Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, calculate percentages, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in a variety of situations.
Licenses or Certificates
Washington State Property and Casualty Insurance Agent License. 24 hours of continuing education required every two years to maintain state license.
Current driver’s license.
Must be bondable.Required Experience
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and three to five years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to handle cash required.
