Insurance Licensing Coordinator

First Mercury Financial Corporation, a group of a affiliated insurance organizations, is seeking an Insurance Licensing & Filing Coordinator in our Southfield, Michigan office.

Job ResponsibilitiesProcess all new and renewal applications for insurance agents, adjusters and agency licenses Process any appointment requests, renewals and terminations Monitor individual licensees for compliance with CE requirements Review and implement state regulations/requirements as applicable to licensing Develop, monitor and maintain our internal licensing databases Review state specific regulations, etc. to maintain licensing compliance in all areas Run expiration lists and other reports as needed Assist in coordinating and assembling Quarterly and Annual Statutory Filings to insure timely filing with various regulatory bodies Work with individuals within the organization as well as communicate with the licensing staffs at various insurance departments

Job RequirementsMinimum 2-3 years experience with Microsoft Access in creating and maintaining databases and reports.  Also experienced with Excel, Word and Outlook. Organized, detail oriented and self motivated Excellent verbal and written communication skills Prioritize multiple tasks, work well and efficiently under pressure Prior commercial insurance experience preferred

This is a full-time position with benefits including health and dental insurance, FSA's and 401(k).
