Insurance Management
The Insurance Unit of the Human Resources Compensation Management Group (HRSCM) is responsible for the policy design, financial management and contract management for all insurance programs which impact individual staff and their eligible family members. The Insurance Unit addresses vendor relationships, claim appeals procedures, financial and administrative review, benefit plan design, and ensures that all vendors meet their commitments. There are several large insurance programs, with varying degrees of complexity.
The main responsibilities will be to assist in the management of day-to-day operations and vendor relationships; identify problems and conduct research, analyze, diagnose, and propose solutions; substantive input on policy design and implementation; translate complex insurance concepts for communication to staff; and assist with audits and financial reporting.
The minimum selection criteria for this position is a Master’s degree or equivalent (in management, business, insurance, or other related field), and at least 10 years of relevant experience in administrating employer insurance and/or benefit programs.
