Insurance Policy Processor

We are looking for an individual experienced in commercial surplus lines processing. This experience will be applied in the implementation of a new policy administration system and document management system. This individual will have the opportunity to assist in the building of the processing and underwriting workflows as the new system is implemented. This is a great opportunity for the right individual to get in on the ground floor and become the subject matter expert. The candidate will work closely with all levels and departments of the organization during the implementation of the new systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensures that policy transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner by rating and/or entering transactions for commercial lines of business. Such transactions may be quotes, new business, endorsements, cancellations or renewals. 
 Screens transactions to determine proper processing. 
Provides timely and professional customer service. 
Orders and screens miscellaneous reports needed in the 
rating and underwriting process.

EDUCATION: High School diploma or equivalent 



EXPERIENCE: 2-3 years of experience in commercial surplus lines processing and rating. Technical competence in the underwriting/rating systems. Rating and entry expertise in commercial lines of business. Proficient personal computer and interpersonal skills.
