Long Term Care Group (LTCG) is the nation’s largest administrator of long term care insurance services.  We provide a sophisticated and broad platform of services, including full policy administration, clinical expertise, and product design and development for both group and individual long term care insurance products.

 

ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY

Job Title: Sr. Policy Owner Services Specialist

Department: Policy Owner Services (POS)

Location: Carmel, IN

The Senior POS Specialist is responsible for the timely and accurate processing of routine billing, account reconciliation, policy changes and inquiries received from policyholders, agencies, and authorized third parties.  In this role you will be responsible for policyholder notifications in compliance to policy contracts and procedures.

 

Primary Responsibilities:  Processes high volume, time sensitive complex requests for in-force policies, such as Benefit Changes, Complaints, Cost of Living Adjustments, Duplicate policies, Quotes, Reinstatements, Wavier of Premium, and other routine POS functions.  Generates, prints and mails system generated letters, reports, statements, rate increase letters and billing notices.  Performs agency maintenance to update agent records with demographic changes, Assignment of commissions, Service Agent Transfers, Terminations and other routine Licensing inquiries.  Processes payments for Non Sufficient Fund’s, Lock-box rejects, and Unapplied Cash Management. Processes Manual Deposits and Rate Increases when appropriate.Answers and resolves telephone calls promptly and professionally from policyholders, authorized third parties, and agents.Assists and mentors other departments and team members with their questions pertaining to routine POS issues.Prepares special reports, e.g. daily production and suspense justification.Provides feedback to management pertaining to customer service issues.Manages, controls, and follows-up on items pending and in process.Performs tasks with a high degree of quality and great attention to detail.



Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalent and 1 year towards an Associate’s Degree.1 year customer service experience involving direct communication with customers, banking or financial background is preferred.  2 years of administrative/clerical work experience is required.Must have previous experience with MS Windows software including Word, Excel and Outlook.Must have good verbal and written communication skills.Knowledge of Administrative Processing systems or the ability to learn.Ability to learn technical insurance processing applications.Strong interpersonal skills in dealing with clients, customers, and team members.Strong key-boarding skills.Ability to work in a high volume production environment.General ledger and money management reconciliation.
