This position supports a functional unit by providing subject matter expertisein the maintenance and improvement of function-specific operations.

Act as subject matter expert to review operational workflows, identify problemsand develop improvements, modifications and enhancements.

May maintain databases required for business operations.

Reviews systems and applications and recommends system edits/changes as needed.

Develops and evaluates materials that enhance operating efficiency, accuracy andtechnical skill levels of unit staff.

Track and communicate workflow and system changes to appropriate sources and mayassist with training and documentation needs.

Development and generation of reports for management review.

Notifies appropriate managers on issues and problems requiring immediateattention.

Participates on special projects as required.

Participates as a subject matter expert in the development of written guidelinesand documents problems as needed.

Works under general supervision, using established procedures.

High school diploma or GED and three years related experience and/or training,or equivalent combination of education and experience.

At least two years experience in a claims, customer service,installation/membership or member services role in the health care industry.

Knowledge of automated systems in a production or operations environment.

Ability to identify and resolve moderately complex problems related to automatedsystems and operations within functional area.

Strong communication skills.

Good problem-solving skills.
