Major Duties and Functions Include: Responsible for supporting the research and information gathering and reporting needs of the Mature Market Institute within the Retirement Strategies Group. Responsibilities include: analysis and integration of qualitative and quantitative data in gerontology and 50+ demographics; project management; and support use of research within the Institute and with partners. Principal Responsibilities: Effective project management and analysis: efficient and timely management of research and information gathering projects; proactive, in-depth analysis and reporting that highlights relevant, actionable insights. Seek opportunities to demonstrate the value of research and information in addressing business issues and contributing to business goals. Support all types of research engaged in by the Institute in cooperation with other business units Respond to requests from business units for information and data. What You Need to Succeed: Undergraduate enrolled in BA/BS degree, recent graduate or MA student. 0-1+ years in research or related Financial services and/or gerontological research background strongly preferred Strong analytical skills and problem solving ability Excellent written and oral communication skills (including report writing, interpersonal, presentations, etc.) Strong project management skills; attention to detail; a focus on quality Flexibility to handle multiple projects and shift priorities quickly as necessary; team player but with the ability to work autonomously as needed Some PowerPoint knowledge and the ability to assist in developing insightful presentations/reports Expertise in other computer applications a plus: Lotus Notes, Word, Excel, Internet Basic business and marketing acumen Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize projects Research/data interpretation skills Familiarity with research sources and databases, especially regarding 50+ demographic/gerontology Assist in organizing, managing, and maintaining information database Update and uncover new information Work shouldn’t be something you do just to make ends meet.
