Internal IT Auditor

This position will be located downtown Chicago at 175 West Jackson Street. 


We currently have an excellent opportunity for an Internal IT Auditor who will be responsible for performing all aspects of the IT audit, from planning to reporting and will interact with all levels of management and our business partners.

 

Responsibilities include:

 Plan and conduct audits of IT systems, processes and applications to safeguard assets, ensure accuracy of data, and promote operational efficiency. Identify internal controls, perform tests of controls, develop and oversee implementation of remediation plans to comply with Sarbanes Oxley 404 requirement.Identify process changes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of key business processes.Report IT audit results and related controls.

 

Requires: A BA/BS in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems Administration or related field required2-3 years of IT auditing experience with demonstrated experience in internal controls, risk assessments, business process and internal IT control testingStrong background in auditing techniques and/or computer control environments; knowledge of various technical platforms, networks, security issues, and data retrieval techniquesExperience with Sarbanes-Oxley 404 complianceCPA, CISA, or CIA a plusFamiliarity with IT Risk Management practicesInternational or insurance audit experience a plusUp to 15% travel to domestic and international locationsStrong verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of managementStrong project management skillsAreas of expertise should include at least some of the following: Access control software, Security architecture and administration, Security policies and standards, Operating systems (Windows NT, UNIX, AS400), and Database platforms (SQL, Oracle, DB2)Strong PC skills including MS Office
