Major Duties and Functions Include: MetLife’s Corporate eBusiness group is looking for a Web Analytics focused Internet Business Analyst eager to join a dynamic and exciting team. As MetLife increases its focus on the internet as a lead generation and servicing vehicle, creative and solution orientated thinking is not only encouraged, but expected. The Web Analytics Analyst will be a core member of a team that develops crucial business success metrics that are used to measure the success of various e-initiatives in Global Brand and Marketing Services (GBMS), including the corporate website, corporate advertising campaigns, and other consumer-facing efforts. With the utilization of cutting-edge technologies, the candidate will play a key role in the maturing of MetLife’s metric, reporting and web analytic structure. In partnership with various MetLife lines of business, the candidate will create, interpret and verify metrics from web sites, online and offline marketing programs, paid search, banner advertising, as well as TV and print advertising. The candidate will create reports, identify trends, conduct business analysis, and provide information to drive/support business decisions. What You Need to Succeed: Provide reporting, analysis and recommendations around visitor behavior and outcome metrics. Develop reporting solutions based on changes, trends and areas for improvement within MetLife’s web analytic structure. Work with the eBusiness Leadership team to gather reporting requirements for web analytics requests, analyze these requirements and follow them through implementations. Contribute to marketing campaign management process by providing weekly and monthly KPI updates. Create reports and analysis using WebTrends, Excel, Access and MicroStrategy as well as other tools. Monitor the quality and integrity of web analytic data, reports, online dashboards and analytic tools. Assist in automation of standard LOB metric reporting and scorecard creation. Analyze and report on specific campaigns as well as metlife.com holistically on a weekly basis. Manage deliverables to project milestones. Collaborate with IT, Information Architects, Advertising and other areas of the enterprise as part of the maturing of MetLife’s metric, reporting and web analytic structure. Job Requirements: Advanced proficiency in Excel. Ability to synthesize and analyze large sets of marketing data to yield actionable findings (i.e. creating formulas, pivot tables). This position requires strong detail orientation, as well as analytical and time management skills. Working knowledge of enterprise reporting and web analytics tools is preferred (i.e. WebTrends, Omniture, Google Analytics, WedSideStory, TeaLeaf, Hitwise). Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment. 2+ years of experience in conducting web analytic focused business reporting and analysis. Highly motivated, goal-oriented, collaborative, strong communicator, team player, and client-focused. Strong technical understanding. Must have the ability to work well independently and with team members. Ability to successfully work with business partners from all levels of the enterprise. Experience with web design and content management preferred. Data-mining, relational database and/or business intelligence experience beneficial. Ability to project manage multiple simultaneous projects. Bachelors Degree in mathematics, information systems, statistics, marketing or business.
