Java Developer III or Ld DOE Portland, OR Bring your information technology skills to the following role:Participate in a team environment for the delivery and maintenance of application systems under the direction or coaching of a supervisor or senior team membersProvide technical, interpersonal and administrative skills in performing day-to-day workExpected deliverables include, but are not limited to, requirement analysis, system analysis, system design, data models, program design, source code development, test case development, testing, and documentationAdhere to IT departmental policies and procedures, including technical and architecture standards, production implementation standards, regular status reporting, regular participation in team, regular one-on-one meetings with supervisor, and providing work estimates and regular time tracking Combine your degree and experience with the following skills: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Business Administration, or a related fieldAppropriate additional experience beyond the minimum required experience may be substituted for educationMinimum of 4-6 years relevant experience in a multi-platform environment including, but not limited to, application development or database developmentWebsphere, MQ Series, Windows XP and NT, Oracle SQL and PL/SQL experienceKnowledge of Java/J2EE, including Javascript, JUnit, ANT, Struts, Spring, HibernateAbility to develop and document system requirementsAbility to create design/coding specifications working with input from requirements document and various business and technical sourcesCapability to coordinate development and testing work with local and offshore resources and be responsible for status and issue resolutionAbility to develop positive relationships among clients, coworkers and managementAbility to work effectively with other team members and with minimal directionCapability to plan and manage work as well as 1-3 or more other team membersAbility to take direction from others in analyzing and solving program and system issues and problemsAptitude to analyze, diagnose and resolve medium-complex programming and system problems independentlyCapability to develop efficient and effective program and system solutions in solving highly complex business problemsAbility to effectively communicate with coworkers and all levels of management and adapt to rapidly changing technologies and methodologies and apply them to technological and/or business needsTechnical proficiency in core technologies used by the teamExperience with the following is preferred:UNIX and AIX shell scriptingObject Oriented Analysis and Design including working knowledge of UMLRUP DataStageRational Application Developer tools AJAX Hard work and dedication is rewarded at Regence: We offer a competitive salary and a generous benefits package.
