Lead Computer Operator

Broad Street, OH 43215 Job Category:IT/Software Development Career Level:Experienced (Non-Manager)   The Motorists Insurance Group has an immediate and exciting opportunity in our Information Technology Division for a Lead Computer Operator. The primary objective of our Lead Computer Operator is to efficiently support, operate and control the mainframe and server operations systems. This candidate will successfully complete the daily/nightly batch processing and ensure the availability of the online computer systems. Candidate must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. Compensation will be based upon experience. Ideal candidate will have: At least two years experience as a Computer Operator with z/OS and JES2.Thorough knowledge of CA Scheduler, Control-M, RACF, SolarWinds, BMC Auto Ops, or similar products.Knowledge of PDSMAN, TSO, Sysview, XPAF or equivalent products.Experience with IBM servers running Windows 2003, Linux, and AIX Understanding of complex network technology is a plus. Attention to detail with good judgment and troubleshooting skills. Must be able to direct others and have strong leadership and organizational abilities. Ability to show discretion when dealing with confidential information. Ability to work a rotational shift (days/nights including weekends) is required.  At Motorists, we value our employees!
