POSITION SUMMARY:
Provides administration of liability and property claims, including field investigation.



JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are currently seeking a Liability Adjuster to join our Liability team! This position is located in Albuquerque, NM. If you have 10+ years of General Liability Claims, possess exceptional interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, then we want to see your resume!



DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Provide prompt evaluation and investigation of all claims

· Provide field investigation when needed or arrange for such investigation if outside our service area

· Input claims data to system and keep currently updated

· Input billing entries to billing system on each claim for all clients on annual administration fee schedule

· Review and process all vendor invoices

· Retain legal counsel and coordinate handling of case with assigned attorneys

· Attend mediations and arbitrations

· Negotiation with claimants or their attorneys

· Provide regular status reports to client and carriers including prompt reporting to excess carriers

· Process and review all claim systems reports to client



QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience: Minimum 10 years recent General Liability and Property Claims. Public Entity experience a plus. Some field work required, but primarily in-house.
Computer Skills: Must be able to demonstrate basic computer skills and experience, including ability to type and use word processing programs to prepare reports.
Language Skills: Ability to write reports in clear, concise language and interview parties and witnesses.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to quickly evaluate claims and determine course of action needed to resolve each claim. Ability to apply past experience to properly reserve and determine value of case.
Other Qualification: Must have clean driving record and own vehicle to perform field investigation. Must have Adjusters license for the State of New Mexico.
