Litigation Risk Analyst

Job Summary: Litigation Risk Analyst, Electric Insurance:We are searching for experienced, organized, proactive team members to work closely with the company’s Environmental Litigation Counsel to service our Commercial Lines customer, a leading Fortune 500 company.  The Litigation Risk Analyst will analyze key case documents and data, track key deadlines, manage information flow, assess risk, and make trial risk recommendations to various inside and outside counsel responsible for defending against product liability / environmental claims. Position Responsibilities · Evaluate case strengths and weaknesses; and draft summaries based on review of legal documents and key case data (weigh strength of source, length of exposure, etc.)· Research client products to determine possible liabilities and defenses· Extract key trial information from legal documents and database extracts and update calendar of trials and key events for management · Work with internal and external counsel to prepare analyses that support litigation recommendations (take to trial, settle, move to dismiss, etc.)· Monitor and report on legal expense budgets· Work with various technologies to maintain/update calendar of trials and related events· Interface with internal attorneys and local counsel to track down relevant information· Reconcile claimant lists, research and understand discrepancies· Format spreadsheets/summaries for clear presentation of information Required Qualifications · J.D. and prior relevant experience; or Bachelor’s degree / paralegal certificate and strong litigation paralegal experience (at least 4 years).· Motivated self starter with demonstrated skills in ownership, initiative and creativity· Proficiency with MS Office applications with advanced skills in MS Excel and MS Access· Ability to multitask and coordinate a variety of deliverables; and to work independently and collaboratively to meet challenging customer requirements and continuously shifting priorities· Strong analytical skills· Ability to review, evaluate and summarize large volumes of case documents and information· Strong oral and written communication skills; and demonstrated experience with senior level business managers and high end customers· Ability to effectively elaborate upon and defend a recommendation or position · Exceptional level of integrity and accuracy combined with strong organizational skills · An understanding that change is a constant and is necessary for improvement and growth * Position is temp-to-perm Job Title: Litigation Risk Analyst Company: Electric Insurance Location: Beverly, MA 01915 Status: Full Time, Employee Job Category: Legal Relevant Work Experience: 2+ to 5 Years Career Level: Experienced (Non-Manager) Education Level: Bachelor's Degree Company: Electric Insurance Email: Apply by Email Phone: 800-227-2757 Fax: 978-236-5077 Reference Code: Litigation Risk Ana
