Our superior financial strength and consistent record of strong operating returns mean security for our customers - and opportunities for our employees.  You will find Travelers to be full of energy and a workplace in which you truly can make a difference. We are currently looking for a MA Personal Insurance Sales Executive.  Please read on for more details regarding this position. JOB DESCRIPTION: SUMMARY:  Primary sales role responsible for building consultative sales relationships with Independent Agents and fellow employees to help Travelers of Massachusetts achieve its profit and growth targets and help Agents grow their businesses throughout Massachusetts. Territory negotiable.  RESPONSIBILITIES:  - Completes annual and on-going territory assessment to identify opportunities and potential challenges from which strategies and tactics are developed and responsible for profitability of entire Agency assignment - Applies agency diagnostics, push to success or terminate - Prospects for new business - Appoints new agents that meet production expectations of new business at Travelers - Influences agents to quote and sell Travelers to customers - Follows up and follows through with Agents who attend Agency Development workshops - Diagnoses agencies¿ interests and ability to grow - Matches agency interests & ability to Travelers of Massachusetts business goals for territory - Recommends business solutions and programs to meet objectives - Devises plans to meet business objectives - Executes sales strategy while learning intricacies of Agent Operations and how to be a Business Consultant. - Follows up with business plans and holds people accountable for agreed upon actions - Directs customer service issues to appropriate resources, elevates unresolved matters to ensure resolution - Seizes opportunities to cross sell Travelers products assisting in closing of sales.  - Stays current on product and pricing changes and articulates company position and seeks out business with appropriate agencies to meet Company objectives.  - Validates data used to make strategic market changes - Knows computer systems and involves others on training as appropriate. - Identifies book transfer business that fits Travelers of Massachusetts criteria, sells Agent on transferring business, tracks volume and flow and continues to sell to ensure Travelers gets business agreed upon    Qualifications and Competencies: - 3-5 years of Sales/Marketing experience - Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience - Strong verbal and written communication skills - Adept interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal and external customers - Interest and ability to deliver professional presentations - Strong knowledge of Microsoft office products with ability to manipulate data in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint quickly and accurately - Knowledge and or ability to learn new programs quickly - Ability to explain to others how to use a variety of computer programs - General business acumen - Flexibility and readiness to adapt to change - Resilient - Analytical skills to evaluate needs and apply solutions - Self-directed and driven - Decisive judgment - High energy - High integrity and value for ethical business practices In addition to an exciting environment, we offer: * Competitive base salary with additional opportunities for variable pay through recognition programs and incentive awards * 401(k) with company match* Comprehensive health plans that include coverage for same sex/domestic partners* Strong work/family and employee assistance programs* Tuition reimbursement * Vacation Purchase Plan* Training/Development opportunities We are proud to provide comprehensive, high quality employee programs to meet employees' needs now and in the future, including a very competitive financial package.
