The scope of this job is: Meetings, Awards, and Promotions (MAPS) Coordinator performas at an advanced level in the design, development, maintenance, negotiation and execution of meetings, awards, and promotions. Have an advanced understanding of data, information, terminology and technology used to extract, analyze and communicate sales promotion data to management and agency business owners. The person should have the ability to negotiate contracts with outside vendors, train others, and make recommendations for corrections and process improvements.The position will be responsible for: Communications - both oral and written, including presentations to Senior Leaders. Budget creation, expense tracking to include payment and monitoring. Event planning (beginning to end) to include travel. Act as Lead worker amoung team members. Data gathering and analysis. Downloading information and creating complex reports, including making recommendations to Senior Leaders. Supports, coordinates, and advances unit objectives and regional goals by leveraging Meetings, Awards & Promotions (MAPs) programs. Prepares and provides data in the formation of sales goals and expense reconciliation. Communicates sales promotion data to appropriate audiences Advanced skills in communication and integration of MAPs processes Visualizes and performs the necessary tasks/details to reach a finished project goal Negotiating skills. Analyzes information and data and makes recommendations to management Works with regional leadership to plan and support business meetings Travels to meeting locations for site inspections and meeting coordination Partnership with Home Office on MAPs initiatives Often working with minimal supervision, works under the general supervision of the MAPs Unit Manager Certified Meeting Professional designation recommended (CMP designation)
