Mail room clerk (Part-Time)

POSITION:  General Office/Mail Clerk

 

DEPARTMENT:  Administration

 

REPORTS TO: Director

 

PURPOSE: Support office staff with copying, faxing, preparation

  of outgoing mail and distribution of incoming mail along

  with support services for general office functions.

 

REQUIREMENT:  High school education, valid Illinois drivers license,

  working automobile and ability to lift 35 lbs.

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES & FUNCTIONS:

 

  Mail

· Open, sort, date stamp, and distribute all incoming mail as directed. 

· Bring mail down at end of shift to mail boxes. 

 

Copy Machine:

· Special copy projects.

· Maintain paper supply and toner in all copy machines.

· Place calls for repairs/maintenance on mailroom and copy equipment.

 

Fax Machine:

· Send outgoing and distribute incoming faxes on a timely basis.

· Maintain paper supply in fax machine.

 

General Office:

· Keep supply rooms orderly and stocked.

· Serve as back up for receptionist.

· Assist receptionist in maintaining inventory levels of all office and kitchen supplies.

· Move office furniture, boxes, etc.· Other duties and projects as assigned.
