Responsibilities include assisting, training and evaluating the staff’s performance and recommending personnel actions. The manager will implement policies, procedures and practices for claims handling, eligibility for benefits and declination of claims for benefits. They will provide managerial reports to Senior Management on productivity, claims experience, financial analysis and benefit payments. The manager will also be responsible for conducting claim audits and monitoring claims investigations. Other duties, as assigned may also be required. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelors degree and/or equivalent work experience, 8 years progressively responsible claims management experience, including a minimum of 2 years prior supervisory experience. The candidate should have knowledge of all supervisory and managerial methods and practices; knowledge of all processes, system design, implementation functions, financial reporting, law and regulations relating to medical claims management.About AIG: American International Group, Inc.
