Marketing Manager - MGA

AIG Agency Auto has an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Manager in its Alpharetta, GA office. The Marketing Manager leads and coaches the commercial brokers and support people. Has a understanding how Commercial Lines agencies operate and market their business; has exposure to basic agency management systems and agency workflows. Job Responsibilities: 1. Maximize the success of Agency Auto General Agency unit as measured by direct written premium and the number of Agency Auto and agents that use MGA. 2. Create and implement and processes and infrastructure to maximize efficiency for Agency Auto’s General Agency unit. 3. Help set General Agency Go to market and distribution activation strategy. 4. Assist in managing carrier relationships. 5. Work with the respective Agency Auto Sales and Product Teams to identify ways the General Agency can support their needs. 6. Coach and mentor the brokers within the commercial insurance brokerage unit. 7. Train and coach sales support representatives. 8. Participate in annual brokerage agency planning process. Successful candidates will have:- Strong Commercial lines product and market knowledge - Detail orientation - Sales experience - Understanding of commercial lines agency sales processes and policy transaction flow - Experience in an independent agency environment - Strong communication and leadership skills - Awareness of agency management systems and their operations basic agency transaction flow - Experience with process design and management - Knowledge of paperless work flow JOB REQUIREMENTS: Education/Knowledge: Undergraduate studies in insurance, marketing, or business administration. Must be licensed to sell as required by state (i.e. property/casualty, personal lines, commercial, excess and surplus lines). Knowledge of insurance products, policies and practices; exposure to and knowledge of brokerage sales and underwriting theory and expectations. Experience Required: Eight (8) years of related experience in sales or insurance agency environment marketing insurance products and services. About AIG: American International Group, Inc.
