Please read on for more details regarding this position. JOB DESCRIPTION: Purpose:CIRS, CCM, CRRN desirable.  Case management, utilization review, discharge planning, homecare, or hospital experience preferred.  Strong clinical background with emphasis on problem-solving and analytical skills.  Strong written and oral communication skills.  Good typing and computer skills.  Strong partnership and team approach.   Responsibilities and Duties:In-house telephonic medical case management.  Responsible for making sure injured workers receive only necessary treatment directly related to compensable injury.  Return injured worker to gainful employment. Maximize the use of our preferred physicians whenever possible.  Provide exceptional customer service through proactive communication with external customers and internal business partners.  Provide technical assistance and act as resource for claim handling staff.   Knowledge and Skills:Registered Nurse (RN or LPN) as well as appropriate license per state regulation. CIRS, CCM, CRRN desirable.Jurisdictional knowledge of medical causations and relatedness. Strong knowledge of medical treatment protocols and physician advisor utilization. Very strong oral and written communication skills. Good computer skills Understanding of Workers' Compensation laws.
