National Account Executive
FIRM INTRODUCTION
Coordinated Group of Companies (CGC) is nationally recognized (holding) company offering solutions as a full-service, employee benefits outsourcing and brokerage firm since 1968. Headquartered in Pittsburgh, PA it has office locations in San Diego, CA; Raleigh-Durham, NC; and Seattle, WA. CGC presently provides brokerage services through its subsidiary, Coordinated Benefits Corporation (CBC) and provides administrative services of benefit plans for employers ranging from 50 to 30,000 employees through its sister subsidiary, Benefit Coordinators Corporation (BCC). BCC provides consolidated billing, COBRA services, Flexible Spending Account administration, employer self-funding, as well as a host of web-based HR administrative services.
POSITION SUMMARY
Benefits outsourcing/brokerage firm has a career opportunity in its San Diego office. The NAE position serves a dual role. 1) BCC: Relationship Management/Sales Assistance through key brokers, primarily in Southern California for Administrative & HR Outsourcing services. 2) CBC: Account Management/Servicing duties for a handful of large brokerage clients. Some out of state travel required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
BCC - Administration Outsourcing
Person would represent BCC as a new business and service provider expert for new sales through Key Brokerage relationships.
Maintain a collaborative, proactive relationship with BCC Sales producers on behalf of a particular brokerage relationship. Help attract new brokerage relationships.
Provide assistance with the following processes through the Key Brokerage relationships:
Pre-sale – Collaborate, create, and assist the broker, and/or account manager(s) with sales proposals and demos.Point of Sale – Collaborate with broker and staff, coordinate demos, work in tandem in a sales assist role with the broker in making sales presentations to prospective clients.Post Sale process – Team leader role, assemble appropriate BCC team by communicating and providing necessary information to Client Services and/or Director of Implementation. Coordinate the implementation of new sales, and coordinates the renewal process for groups sold.
Provide ongoing training to brokerage sales staff on the services provided by BCC and implementation workflow.

CBC - Brokerage Services
Manage and provide customer service for a jumbo national corporate client – travel to the East Coast 4-6 times a year.Manage a handful of mid size accounts in Southern CaliforniaAnalyze available plans and associated costs on behalf of clientPrepare benefit renewal proposals and communicate available options to clientProvide due diligence of insurance carriers and TPA servicesAssist clients through installation and renewal processesCreate employee communications and enrollment packets Lead open enrollment meetings and question/answer sessions with client employeesReview insurance carrier contracts and booklets for accuracy and compliance with federal and state lawResolve service related claims, billing and other plan administrative issuesAnswer client questions regarding insurance carriers, COBRA, HIPAA, and other related topics throughout the plan year
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 6-10 years experience in employee benefit/group insurance area. Brokerage experience preferred.Undergraduate DegreeCurrent Life, Accident and Health license or the ability to procure within six months of employment.Demonstrated success in defining and managing large customer expectations and applying appropriate service levels.Thorough understanding of employee benefit plans including Reimbursement Accounts and COBRA.Direct experience in coordinating customer business from broker/producer to carriers within the group employee benefits market segment.Strong client/customer service orientation with the proven ability to positively communicate and work well with others.Excellent organizational, time management and personal computing skills.
