Primary Function

·  Assist all customer levels (Broker/Direct Sales Representatives) with inquiries that includes: enrollment assistance, benefit details, and the development of needs based proposals. 

·  Must obtain various sales goals such as quote follow-up and revenue objectives. 

·  Ability to cross-sell various products during each call.

·  Responsibilities include: taking inbound calls, making outbound calls, ask for referrals during each call, produce quotes that meet customer needs, conduct various probing techniques, accurately describe benefits and features for all product lines, document system to ensure proper tracking and accountability.

 

 

Expertise and Problem Solving Duties

·Symptoms and facts may be incomplete, but the existence of a problem is apparent. 

·  Gaps must be filled by further inquiry, which is generally confined to related work areas.

·  Judgment is required to make decisions regarding planning, performing and sequencing operations within defined limits of recognized or standard methods or procedures.

 

 

Accountability and Supervision

·  Accountable for own work. 

·  Little supervision required.

·  Tasks which are generally informational, but which involve the incumbent in the analysis and/or decision-making resulting from the data itself. 

·  May also include tasks involved in the design and/or installation of the data-process itself.

·  Errors may not be obvious and may not be detected before substantial costs or time delays in the primary department activities were incurred

 

 

Job Knowledge

·  Basic job skills plus supplemental knowledge of other operations within the function. 

·  Requires experience through 1-3 business cycles, generally 1-3 years, in order to assume responsibility for the exchange or coordination of information or activities.

 

Minimum Education & Experience

·  HS or GED.

·  College Degree preferred.

·  1-3 years experience in related field.

·  Active Life and Health License.

Mental/Visual concentration or Manual Dexterity

·  Requires frequent concentration

 

 

Computer Operations

·  Computer literate. Familiar with Microsoft Office.

·  10 key proficiency.
