National Sales Support Supervisor

John Hancock can be found on the internet at www.johnhancock.com Manulife Financial Corporation trades as 'MFC' on the TSX, NYSE and PSE, and under '0945' on the SEHKAccountable for supervising an Internal Sales Support Desk in delivering the highest caliber of sales support to producers and firms in the Life Insurance Brokerage Channel.  Monitor the progress and performance of all team members.  With the Director of the National Sales Desk, discuss strengths, weaknesses and recommend development plans and discuss future objectives and goals. Act as department lead in the absence of the manager, track department workflow, coordinate schedules and recommend areas for improvement. Act as a resource for Internal Sales Support team on in depth information and in solving problems and evaluating information. Assist Director in training new hires.  Ensure all new hires are fully trained and knowledgeable about products and departmental procedures.  Help Develop comprehensive training manual for group. Assist with department scheduling and keep track of staff attendance sheets. Develop and implement monthly marketing initiatives that will drive sales in the field. Assist Director with Recruiting for new hires. Work with Director on developing performance objectives for existing staff, assist with annual and mid year reviews. Bachelor’s Degree. Series 6, 63 and Insurance License. 2-3 years work experience as an Internal Sales Support. 2-3 years of previous management or team leader experience Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent presentation skills. Solid knowledge of life insurance products and life brokerage industry. Ability to motivate, mentor and develop staff. Excellent relationships building skills Ability to work effectively across different business units Ability to balance multiple priorities and direct the work of others.
