Essential Responsibilities:

 Manage all aspects of Operations in support of the New York NavPro Underwriting division.Work effectively with the President of NavPro, D&O and E&O department managers to ensure that all Operations are in line with the goals of the business unit.Work with the New York NavPro underwriters to ensure that all they are receiving the necessary support to effectively manage their book of business.Monitor and Coordinate accurate and timely policy servicing. Provide leadership to operations staff within the New York NavPro Office.  Provide day to day guidance, as needed, on all tasks supporting NavPro Underwriting.Evaluate the operations procedures within the New York branch NavPro division to determine areas of improvement with submission workflow, renewal solicitation letters, quote, bind, invoice and policy issuance.Monitor premium receivables, domestic and international,  to identify the areas of concern with respect to timely payment and implement necessary process improvements, where needed, to ensure appropriate action is taken to affect payment in instances of overdue premium. Recommend the necessary controls to be implemented. Implement policy issuance standards set by NavPro goals to ensure timely and accurate policy issuance and endorsement activity.  Recommend ways to make the processes more efficient and implement the changes.Implement appropriate standards for managing policy issuance to ensure that servicing standards are met and that business is being accounted for properly within Navigators. Coordinate systems training requests Navigate/Genius/Subscribe.Recommend and implement processes for effectively managing transactions.Determine appropriate procedure and standard for new business and renewal clearance.Evaluate the staffing resources to determine whether the resources are appropriate and the workload is properly balanced.  Work closely with VP of Operations to ensure alignment with other Corporate Operations initiatives (e.g. Image Right indexing, Billing and Collections, etc.).Participate in strategic sessions, as needed, to improve overall Operations effectiveness of the Navigators Group.

 

Qualifications and Requirements:

 Possess strong verbal and written communication skillsMust have management experience of teams and team workloads in fast paced environment.Must possess strong technical skills and experience with systems and insurance terminology and concepts.Must be able to work independentlyThe ability to build a team with a productive, collegial and healthy work environment.         Must be able to work collaboratively with underwritersHigh level of attention to detail is required.Must have excellent organizational skills.Demonstrate commitment to excellent customer service is required.Must be proactive and have experience with training and developing members of a team Must possess experience in establishing and implementing new workflow processes in an effort to optimize efficiency.4 year College Degree required.
