Network Engineer - Exchange & Citrix

Overview:

Very strong experience with Active Directory, Windows 200x, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SMS and Citrix technology engineering is the basic requirement for this Network Engineer position. You will also be responsible for resolution of network systems, operating system and application troubleshooting. Ideal candidate must have solid foundations on Windows security fundamentals, networking, TCP/IP, Compaq/HP servers' technology, Microsoft Clusters technology and IIS web service. Good understanding of SQL Servers, .NET framework and any Microsoft Back Office Suite servers will be a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Primary task is to architect, design, maintain and manage an enterprise wide Active Directory 2000/2003 infrastructure. Large-scale SMS/Citrix/Windows 200x/Exchange 200x Environment and troubleshoot and resolve production problems in a timely manner.
• Recommend, plan for implementing server hardware/software upgrades in an Active Directory, Citrix, Exchange 200x server farm with minimal downtime.
• Ensures the development and use of an effective preventive maintenance program suitable to meet the operation objective of "99.99% availability".
• Responsible for proactively managing and optimizing Exchange sites and Citrix systems.
• Assists in planning, designing and implementing a high quality production environment.
• Assists in evaluating, recommending, and selecting equipment, services and vendors.
• Maintain and update documentation of the computing environment.
• Travel to Esurance datacenters for the deployment of the server architecture.
• As a member of the team will respond to all system problems on a 7X24 basis and take part in on-call rotation.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years hands-on experience on system administration skills, server build and server troubleshooting in collocation environments. Solid understanding of LAN/WAN technologies and software tools for performance monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Minimum 3 years hands-on experience in a mission-critical production environment of 100+ servers using Microsoft Active Directory, Micirsoft SMS, Microsoft Windows 200x, Exchange 200x, SQL Server, MS Clusters and IIS Web Server.
• Minimum 3 years proven hands-on experience with enterprise-grade monitoring system, such as NetIQ, which is preferred.
• Must have hands-on experience with designing and setting up Active Directory, LANs, Windows 2000 or 2003, Exchange 2000 or 2003/2007 and Citrix from scratch. Also migration experience is required.
• Solid background on TCP/IP networking and troubleshooting in a Microsoft Windows networking environment
• Experience setting policies, procedures, network software and hardware standards, documentation standards.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and LDAP Windows 2000 minimum (2003 desired)
• A minimum of 5 years of server build, server troubleshooting and server administration

Skills required: Active Directory 2000/2003, Microsoft SMS, Windows 200x, Exchange 200x, Citrix MetaFrame Access Suite, IIS, Compaq/HP server technology and fluent in at least one scripting language such Java Script or VB Script.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Computer Science or equivalent job experience.
