New Business Supervisor

Description:. Supervises personnel within the New Business Processing area. . Provides daily coaching, counseling, feedback and direction to Departmental Associates. . Responsible for daily operations in the department including reporting and staff development. . Responsible for monitoring expenses, performance evaluation, recommending hiring and terminations. . Participates in special projects and assists the areas Director and CVP as needed. Supervises personnel within the New Business Processing area. Responsible for daily scheduling of work assignments. Responsible for meeting specific unit and departmental goals for productivity and quality established annually and maintains a sense of urgency regarding deadlines and SLAs. Responsible for preparing individual and unit productivity reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. Maintains quality controls that prevent any type of business related security breach. Responsible for coordinating team meetings and presentations as required. Responsible for coordinating departmental activities and projects as assigned. Responsible for maintaining up to date knowledge on insurance related issues, processes and procedures. Responsible for coaching and counseling Associates on technical and procedural issues. Responsible for all aspects of personnel administration. Responsible for interaction with other departments on a daily basis. Responsible for decision making on business related matters. Other duties as assigned by management.Qualifications: Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience required. Strong motivational, organizational and communication skills (both oral and written). Working knowledge of Telmar, App Entry, RVI and Pega processing systems. At least 2 to 3 years insurance industry experience. Ability to work independently and as a part of the management team. Good numerical and analytical skills. Proven experience in handling tasks and assignments with minimal supervision. Strong computer skills required. 3 to 5 years supervisory/management experience.. Employee suggests and implements new and modified operating procedures. . Deals with outside Service Vendors in facilitating the issue of new insurance certificates and maintaining up to date customer contact information. . Duties are performed with minimal supervision and direction. Assignments are generally not reviewed but supervisor is kept informed of progress and results.. Performs within established standards and delegation of authorities. . Six direct reports. .
