As a member of a claims management team, the nurse consultant advises claims adjusters on medical aspects of work-related injuries, looking at aspects such as diagnosis, medical findings, underlying medical conditions, expected course of recovery, other conditions that may affect recovery, and similar issues. 

 

Nurse consultants advise on cost containment, provide medical training to staff, and work in collaboration with SAIF’s claims and legal professionals.  They also may serve as a liaison to medical providers and managed care organizations.

 

If you’re a Registered Nurse with strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, consider this opportunity at SAIF Corporation. Experience in a medical field such as orthopedics, neurology, or another discipline related to workers’ compensation or occupational injuries will help you to be successful in this job. At SAIF Corporation, our core business hours are Monday through Friday, 8-5.  Nurse consultants, along with all of our Claims Division employees, have the opportunity to request alternative/flex schedule hours as business needs allow.
