As Operations Manager you will be responsible for managing and directing the customer service activities of a Variable Operations Inforce team. Specific responsibilities include Monitor overall performance of teams – accuracy and service standards are being met. Relationships with customers are being built and maintained. Prepare daily plans to maintain staff and resources to meet the business needsBuild and maintain relationship with customers, handling difficult situations that are referred to the area, resolving issues with customers and coordinating with other areasEnsure that teams are coordinating the day-to-day workload and are meeting the established service standardsIntroduce and implement new objectives or goals to further develop or improve customer service or business processes.Interview and hire new employees. Ensure that training is provided to develop all employees. Follow through with development plans to continuously grow and develop strong employees.Review performance of team members, working closely with them to show progress and growth.Participate in preparing and planning department budget, monitor and track expense related to the team/department.Track and report daily, weekly, monthly business activities, trends and employee/team/department results.



Qualifications: 2-5 years operations experience in the Insurance or Financial Services industry Experience must include at least 1 year experience working with Variable Annuity Products Previous management experience highly desiredStrong organization and prioritization skills Proven, strong customer service skillsDemonstrated ability to prepare and manage budgetAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesDemonstrated success managing and leading a team through changeDemonstrated ability to develop best practices and/or improve policies and procedures to increase efficiency, accuracy and productivity
