If you would like to apply your skills and experience to create health-care solutions, consider the following position: Job Summary: Oversees work assignments, processes within and between work groups and performance levels to ensure expected service levels are consistently met. Identifies and implements effective solutions to problems as they arise. Works collaboratively to identify, design and implement process improvement strategies than impact assigned areas. Monitors and supports individual performance improvement of assigned staff. Responsibilities: 1. Interviews, hires, and disciplines staff. 2. Coaches assigned staff, providing professional development opportunities through work assignments, special projects, further education and feedback. 3. Works proactively with supervisors to ensure performance standards and policies are consistently applied throughout the organization. 4. Anticipates the impact of the changing business environment on assigned work areas and adjusts work assignments and processes as necessary. 5. Manages assigned projects meeting deadlines and assuring results meet the business needs of the organization. 6. Responsible for resolving more difficult internal and client issues as they arise. 7. Recommends budget requirements for assigned areas using forecasting and planning tools. Manages within approved budgets and requests exceptions as needed. 8. Provides appropriate and timely performance feedback to staff both informally and during formal review processes. Reviews and recommends merit, promotion and equity pay increases. 9. Works with Employee Development department to ensure operations training programs meet the content and timing requirements of staff and business changes. 10. Designs, implements and monitors procedures to ensure smooth, accurate and timely work flow within assigned groups and works collaboratively with others throughout Premera to implement cross team and company wide procedures and systems changes. 11. Identifies, designs and implements appropriate solutions to staffing, quality and work load problems in a timely and effective manner. 12. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: 1. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 2. Proficiency with personal computers as a work tool. 3. Analytical skills to draw sound operational and financial conclusions from diverse data. 4. Skill in complex problem solving. 5. Outstanding interpersonal skills. 6. Three years successful supervisory experience in operations. 7. Five years experience in a high volume, automated operations environment. 8. Experience with quality and production management tools and systems. Additional Qualifications Preferred: 1. Bachelors degree in business or related area strongly preferred. 2. Familiarity with Premera products and systems. 3. Four years management experience with at least one at Premera. 4. Strong background in Accounting or Finance, performing reconciliations and/or managing accounts receivable. Premera Ranked Highest in Member Satisfaction in U.S. West In the J.D.
