Outside Commercial Property Adjuster

My client is one of the largest independent loss adjusting companies in the U.S. which provide claims management services. They are currently seeking to fill a Commercial Property Adjuster position in their New York or New Jersey office.RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Inspection of all losses ( buildings, plazas, malls, homes, boats, some auto, etc.) Preparation of estimates  ( Exactimate, Boeckh/Beck, MSB Integra, Marshall Swift) Must know coverage issues, exclusions, exceptions to exclusions. CGL policy, Business Interruption, Builders Risk, Additional Living Expense, BOP policy. Working directly with repair contractors and insured's  to insure proper scooping and pricing. Reinspection during and after repairs completed. Conduct investigation of claims for coverage and viability of subrogation, check for mortgage, additional named insured on policies. Secure photos, recorded statements, police reports, fire reports, witness statements, set reserves, partial payments, determine if cleaning necessary to mitigate damages. Evaluate pre-loss co-insurance to value for underwriting purposes. Catastrophe claims to settle as soon as possible to include windstorm, hail, snow, frozen pipes, etc. Manage first party contractual losses in various lines of business: including but not limited to commercial builders risk, homeowners, Bankers Blanket Bonds, Inland Marine, Ocean Marine, business owners and farm owners. Establish a list of approved vendors for accountants, engineers, cleaning companies and origin experts. EXPERIENCE: 5-7 Years as an outside property adjuster New York Adjusting license a MUST Knowledge of computer estimating programs to include Exactimate and MSB Integra Exceptional knowledge of personal and commercial coverage's.Benefits to include 401K, medical, dental, life and LTD.
