SAFECO is looking for a highly accomplished individual to join our Sales Team in Eastern Montana. This position demands a professional with a proven track record of success; one who is accountable, goal oriented, and results driven. Do you have successful sales experience in personal and commercial lines for a Property & Casualty insurance organization? Our successful Sales Professional will be accountable for profitable growth and new business production goals with assigned agents by developing, coaching, and delivering agent specific value proposition solutions; creating primary demand for Safeco's P&C personal and commercial products through strategic account analysis, engagement and retention plans. As a Sales Professional, you will partner with agents to create innovative sales plans and targets to create success for the agency and for Safeco. Prepare for agency calls by analyzing agency specific data with follow up in a regular agency call report. Serve as focal point for agency and company. While using your analytical skills, you will also share responsibility for planning annual objectives for each agency, measuring and monitoring results, ultimately exceeding his or her annual objectives for the sales territory. Through this partnership, the P&C Sales Professional must be ahead of the game by identifying emerging distribution opportunities, staying current on trends and changes in the industry that may have an impact on Safeco, agency partners and customers. This position calls for a savvy sales person to create primary demand for our P&C products through strategic account analysis, engagement and retention plans thus positioning Safeco as the 'premiere carrier'. Additionally, our Sales Professionals are experts in developing and maintaining peer and business relationships with high degrees of integrity and trust to ensure operational excellence. P&C commercial and personal lines insurance (sales, underwriting, claims, customer service), preferred. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of agency operation. Ability to understand and persuasively explain a broad portfolio of products in value creation . Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to plan, manages, and follows through with priorities. Effective and thorough verbal and written communication skills. Computer literate with a good understanding of Internet and agency management systems. Proven track record demonstrating business development expertise. Four-year degree or equivalent industry experience. Travel: This position requires travel throughout Eastern Montana - Approximately 30%-40%.
