Personal Lines Appraiser

Chubb Group of Insurance Companies has an exciting opportunity within the Los Angeles/Southern CA area for a Personal Lines Appraiser.

Analyze and develop the replacement cost of high valued homes and provide detailed reports regarding risk acceptability within the Los Angeles/Southern CA territory. This includes visiting with clients in their homes to determine replacement costs, evaluate adequacy of alarm systems, and make safety recommendations. Create risk assessment reports to be used by underwriters, agents, and insureds. Based on an insured's possessions and lifestyle, identify and effectively market the need for additional Chubb coverages.

The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated individual that has the ability to deal with a wide variety of people. An interest in art, architecture or construction and an aptitude for evaluating, analyzing and interpreting information is key. Ability to adapt to new ideas and situations; demonstrated ability to manage relationships with customers; ability to incorporate knowledge of marketplace needs and business objectives to develop and implement strategies to ensure success. Good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, as well as excellent mathematical skills. Excellent time management and planning skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of the appraisal team are essential. Able to aggressively manage appraisal back logs as well as develop relationships with key agents.
