Job Title:        Personal Lines Insurance CSR

 

Brief Description:    Service customers in the personal lines book of business, including quoting and writing new business accounts, maintain proper computer documentation of correspondence, calls and activities, answer telephones as deemed necessary. A current, valid insurance license and 1-2 years of experience in the insurance industry is necessary.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

        

        1) Service personal lines accounts including contacts with insureds          

            providing quotes, answering coverage and billing questions.

        2) Cross-sell other lines of business within accounts.

        3) Answer telephones promptly and courteously.

        4) Maintain proper customer files according to agency procedures.  These  

            may be paper or electronic.  

        5) Learn and become proficient with agency management system with

            agency provided training.

        6) Obtain quotes from carriers via websites and other avenues.

        7) Maintain good relationships with company personnel and underwriters.

        8) Maintain a valid Insurance license including required updates.

        9) Attend agency and company meetings and other educational     

            opportunities as required.

        10) Maintain open lines of communication with agency staff, especially 

            supervisor.

        11) Maintain suspenses and activities in a timely manner.

        12) Other duties as assigned.

 

Hours of work: During normal business hours of 8:30 am to 4:30 pm or as agreed upon between agency and employee.
