Personal Lines Underwriter Sales Specialist

State Auto Insurance Company, an eighty-seven-year-old, A+ (Superior rated by A. M. Best), multi-line property-casualty insurance company, has an opening for an experienced Personal Lines Sales Specialist to work from their home or our Peoria, Arizona office and cover an Arizona territory. This position is responsible for marketing our competitive personal lines insurance products to key independent agents.

 

Qualified applicants should possess at least three years of personal lines underwriting background.  Proven, successful experience as a P & C insurance company marketing representative or territory manager is highly desired.  The ideal candidate will also have some direct insurance sales experience.  The ability to recruit, train, and motivate independent agents is critical.  This position also requires excellent communication, interpersonal, and organization skills.  A college degree and/or formal insurance education are preferred.
