Physician Reviewer

Physician Reviewer CGI, an international IT and managed services organization, has an opening for a Physician Reviewer. Based in our downtown Cleveland office, the Physician Reviewer will support our Healthcare Payer Practice, which is part of CGI's Healthcare and Government Business Unit. Accordingly, the incumbent will be responsible for reviewing medical records and other related healthcare information to determine whether codes were correctly assigned to diagnoses and procedures and the respective payments were appropriate. Along that line, the Physician Reviewer will also assist in determining that provided services were medically necessary, as well as furnish clinical expertise to staff and clients. To qualify, candidates must possess a Doctor of Medicine (MD); experience as a practicing physician; knowledge of healthcare payment methodologies and desktop computer literacy. This position is part time only, ranging from 8-20 hours per week. Physicians that are on the Medicare/Medicaid exclusion list will not qualify for this position. Medical malpractice insurance is not required. Internists or surgeons are preferred.
