Pricing Analyst

Job Summary (Essential Functions)
The Pricing Analyst will complete assigned duties geared toward providing detailed exhibits that support Product and Pricing reviews. These exhibits should lead to the formulation of company rates and pricing activities.

Knowledge, Skills and Education Required
College degree in actuarial science, math or related field. Participation in insurance, business, or actuarial-related courses, minimum 3 years experience preferred but not required.

Duties and Responsibilities
1. May be responsible for the maintenance of actuarial spreadsheets. Examples of these spreadsheets include:
Trend spreadsheets; Rate level adjustment factors spreadsheets; Indication spreadsheets; Operational Results; Distributions; and Impact of changes recommended.

2. Responsible for the timely completion of the projects to ensure adherence to the company pricing schedule for all product lines.

3. Analyze competitive position and participate in the Experience Review process to assist in developing rate change recommendations.

4. Responsible for the integrity of the rating programs, rating disks, rating formulas and all rate and rate-related tables in the system.

5. Assist other departments with rating questions.

6. Complete other projects as assigned.

7. Assumes additional responsibilities as assigned.

8. Regular attendance during normal work hours at the designated location for job duties and responsibilities. The job must be performed in a safe manner and in conjunction with all safety rules including all applicable state and federal laws. All employees must work cooperatively within their assigned work group and support department and corporate management by meeting customer service standards.

Physical Components
1. Manual dexterity to operate PC’s and printers.
2. May sit or stand for extended periods of time.
3. Travel is required for business.
4. Light lifting may be involved to move materials.
