Job Description:

Corporate Actuarial consists of Reporting, Analysis & Management and Product Development, providing support of a mathematical / technical nature used in developing various insurance products, monitoring profitability, producing experience and valuation reports, and preparing financial statements. This position is in the Fixed Annuity Financial Reporting & Analysis area.









Position Description:

· Participation as a key member of the Fixed Annuity Financial Reporting & Analysis team with a focus on Fixed & Indexed Annuities

· Create and refine Financial Reporting annuity analysis tools

· Assist in generating financial narrative that is ultimately provided to parent company

· Provide analysis that will be used by management to make key decisions

· Ensure compliance with SOX controls

· Financial Reporting system testing









Qualifications:

· College Degree in actuarial science, math or related field

· Advanced PC/programming experience with databases (Access or Paradox) and spreadsheets (Excel), aptitude for programming actuarial software

· Knowledge of MoSes or other actuarial modeling systems

· Experience with Annuity products, including exposure to both pricing and financial analysis

· Strong attention to detail

· Ability to self-validate work

· Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate technical results

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team

· Ability to handle multiple priorities and tight deadlines

· Financial Reporting experience is a plus, but not a requirement
