Product Development Consultant

This position is responsible for supporting the growth, market penetration and profitability of dental insurance products marketed by United Concordia Companies, Inc. across the United States. This position also participates in the development of new products and provider networks, and manages the preparation of regulatory, sales, educational, administrative, and other documentation and materials. 

 

Qualifications:  To effectively fulfill the accountabilities of this position, the incumbent must have five or more years experience with dental products, benefits, claims and inquiry processing workflows, marketing tools, and provider relations, sales, marketing, customer service, claims benefits administration, regulatory compliance, and underwriting operations.  Qualified applicants must have five or more years experience understanding contract, benefit and product rating language, Agent Plan activities, Regulatory requirements (such as mandated benefits), current competitive forces and market needs, and proposed/ impending legislation is imperative. This position requires five or more years project management skills and five or more years experience with end-user reporting tools and personal computer based software applications.  Qualified applicants must have five or more years experience analyzing information to assess and recommend proactive strategy related to potential impacts of legislative, competitive, and market forces. Five or more years of successful, progressive exempt level experience in health/dental insurance industry Sales, Professional Relations, Marketing, or related environment is required, as well as a Bachelor’s or Master's degree. Knowledge of sales and service roles, responsibilities and needs is required. Practical experience in applying marketing and product principles such as pricing, demographic and target marketing, and competitor analysis is preferred.
