In short, we're simply the right choice. Product Manager – Chicago, ILApply Online at: https://home.eease.com/recruit/?id=29485  POSITION SUMMARY:Responsible for the development, implementation, and management of personal automobile insurance programs in assigned states ensuring they are competitive, profitable, and in compliance with each state’s regulations.  Develops and executes individual state business strategies and tactics to achieve growth and profitability objectives. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Responsible for intensive and comprehensive rate analyses of the current marketplace, including competitors’ rates and regulations to strategically position the company. Analyses data to develop pricing and underwriting strategies.  This includes data mining for economic opportunities, and developing proposed rates and determines rating factors for target markets. Develops program rules, including coverages, limits, deductibles, and underwriting guidelines.  Evaluates and initiates rate changes and other options to produce continued profitable growth in each state’s program.  Interacts with and provides specifications to Information Technology Department in order to program the new product, rules, and rates, and works with managers/supervisors in the Operations Department to train sales and customer service representatives on new product, payment plan, and underwriting issues unique to each state. Prepares state filings and interacts with outside insurance regulatory bodies and vendors to gain approval for personal automobile programs in assigned states and ensure that new program is in compliance.      EDUCATION/SKILL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Requires a master’s degree or equivalent in business or quantitative field plus a minimum of five years of insurance experience primarily in product, actuarial, and underwriting.  A minimum of four years project management experience plus two years as a Product Manager as well as supervisory background is preferred.
