Project Leader

Conseco India Onsite management is looking for a motivated and self-directed individual to work as Data Warehouse Onsite Coordinator. Ideal candidate shall have hands-on experience working in the Data Warehouse environment and be able to resolve project management issues between Business Analysts, Data Warehouse managers and offshore team. The candidate must possess strong oral and written communication skills, excel in prioritizing and planning work at both individual and team levels and participate in establishing positive work environment.Requirements: Responsible for defining and accepting all project deliveries to/from the offshore teamProvides all interfaces (with BA, DBA, Autosys, client, IT, SIT, UAT, Process & Operations) for the offshore teamProvides all requirements and clarifications for the requirements for offshore teamWorks with IT on prioritizing the requests, and scheduling all deliverables leading up to final releasesOversees collection of technical requirements, scope, changes to scope and releases and obtains sign-off Manages effort estimation process and obtains sign-off on the final estimatesTracks the pipeline of project and support activities managed by offshore teamTracks resource demand forecast for the offshore teamDevelops and supports some deliverables with the offshore team where needed.Monitors and ensures offshore teams' compliance with corporate and Data Warehouse standards and proceduresEnsures quality and timeliness of deliverables from offshore team Reviews weekly status report with US and Onsite managementTracks SLA compliance for offshore teamPerforms project management and administrative duties as assigned by Conseco India managementThis role can be best accomplished by working hours that overlap with offshore schedule (early morning / late evening) a few times every week. On-site coordinator may be expected to travel to Conseco India office to build working relationship with the offshore team.Skills/ Education/Experience -- Bachelors Degree preferably in Computer Science or equivalent -- 3-5 years of development experience in Data Warehousing environment and project management -- Working knowledge of Oracle 9i/10g, Informatica, SQL, PL/SQL, UNIX Shell Scripting, Business Objects, Informatica, MS Office applications such as Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Sharepoint is required.
