Job Summary: This position is designed to take initial claims via phone or mail from our insured or agent. The adjuster sets up the claim, investigates the loss, determines coverage, identifies subrogation opportunities, and audits the invoice for payment. Duties Include: sets up claims on WMS from information received via phone or mail from our insureds or agents identifies and applies coverages gathers information from insureds in order to establish damages screens claims per the requirements of Code of Mass Regulations (CMR) uses various software and databases to adjust claims identifies all subrogation opportunities audits invoices for payment makes payment decisions according to established guidelines fosters and maintains relationship with agents and vendors through communication and customer service skillsQualifications: college degree or insurance course work/experience required superior organization skills and detail orientation required customer service experience required excellent communications skills required ability to work co-operatively within a team environment
