Job Description:The QA Manager in this role will be a member of the QA Center of Excellence responsible for managing the testing efforts of critical business systems. This individual should have significant experience testing insurance and/or financial systems in a face paced environment. S/he is able to independently comprehend QA resource needs, secure required resources, coordinate test activities, ensure proper test coverage and recognize opportunities for testing efficiency to ensure that project deadlines are met. In addition this individual will be responsible for overall test planning, test reporting, and managing of QA project resources for projects of large scale and high risk.

Job Requirements:Must Haves: 10+ years of QA/Testing experience3+ years of direct management experienceKnowledge of software development lifecycle and QA methodologiesClear and concise oral and written communication skillsProven project management skills Preferred: Financial or insurance industry experiencexperience coordinating test activities with offshore resourcesProvides estimates and project plans; analyzes and estimates feasibility, cost, time, and test effortsAnalyzes, defines and documents testing strategies, requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, infrastructure requirements, interfaces with other systems, controls, and outputs Assignments:1. Takes the lead for establishing, implementing and monitoring test activities across a large, business critical project at various levels of involvement2. Facilitates open communication between all groups responsible for testing activities3. Works closely with IT groups, project management, and other QA analysts to identify, investigate, and recommend test strategy, coverage, and test case execution resources4. Develops comprehensive test plans, test reporting and test strategies documents5. Assists the project team to track defects to resolution
